A boy had a narrow escape after the newly-assembled roof of a playground structure collapsed and nearly fell on him.
The incident happened at the playground of Block 304 in Sengkang.
Stomper Chan Bin said: "The upgraded playground was re-opened on Saturday. The next day, the roof assembly fell off, almost hitting a boy.
"Maybe it was sabotage or the contractor's fault, but shouldn't the authorities have inspected the equipment first?"
